What is Christ Keystone Church?

Christ Keystone Church is a reformed and confessional church. We are committed to the expository preaching of the Word, covenant renewal worship, and family integrated worship.

Our History

In 2022, Pastor Jacob Tanner and Jared Wehry began to talk seriously about the need for a reformed, confessional, elder-led church, committed to the biblical exposition of Scripture and the congregational singing of Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, to be planted in the Union/Snyder County area. Through their discussions, the idea of Christ Keystone Church began to take shape.

Christ Keystone Church began to meet in Jacob’s home in spring of 2022 for Bible studies. As several families came and agreed to covenant together as a church body, Christ Keystone Church began to hold public worship services in July of 2022, soon securing a local high school for their Sunday morning worship.

At the beginning of 2023, the church secured the rental of a storefront. They remained there for two and a half years, before the Lord led the congregation to Mifflinburg.

In 2025, Christ Keystone Church began to work with Providence Church of Mifflinburg. Soon, the congregation of Providence began to transfer their memberships into Christ Keystone Church, and Christ Keystone Church was soon able to secure the purchase of the historic building in which they now worship.

Their commitment to Scripture, biblical worship, and the Great Commission has not wavered, but has continually strengthened as the church has continued to grow together in covenant through the faithful preaching of the Word of God, the worship of the Lord, and faithful fellowship.

What to Expect?

We are a blended congregation of old and young believers, standing side by side to worship Christ, fulfill the Great Commission, and disciple the saints. Old and young stand together on Sunday mornings to worship our Triune God.

Upon arrival at the church, there is street parking both directly across from the church, and extra parking in the lot across the street.

Sunday School begins at 9:30am, and there are classes for both children and adults. This is an interactive setting, wherein the teachers encourage involvement from those in attendance.

Worship begins at 10:30am and we are distinctly committed to families worshipping together. There is an unstaffed nursery for mothers to use if needed, but we encourage parents to bring their children and infants to worship together as the one Body of Christ.

Our commitment to covenant renewal worship means that we recognize that our Sunday morning worship should be modeled in such a way as to reflect the gospel of Christ and to renew the covenant between ourselves and Christ.

Each Sunday, you may expect the following order of worship:
